Reach!
There are so many factors in our childhood that enable us to grow and flourish, such as the inspiring teachers we never forget or a moment of praise we never expected. But there are all too many factors that can erode our ambitions too. Whether it's overbearing parents who desperately want us to achieve what they didn't, or sudden overwhelming experiences of feeling insignificant in an ever-expanding world, we can all too easily lose sight of our dreams. Doors close. Possibilities dissolve. And learning something new becomes a chore.
'Reach' is a project aimed at Year 6 which focuses young people firmly onto their personal goals and gives them practical tools to overcome obstacles to learning, keeping their dreams at the forefront of their minds as they move into and through secondary education. It engages participants on a personal level and gives them the opportunity to feel truly proud of their ambitions and fosters a confidence in them to keep striving for what they want out of life, whatever the obstacles they might encounter along the way.
How does 'Reach' achieve this? By focusing on six key areas:

- Reaching ... your potential
- Reaching ... the dream!
