Do Something ... about

  • Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Road Safety
  • Arson Prevention

Under our umbrella title 'Do Something', we have created 3 hard-hitting, powerful, memorable shows, full of the kinds of behaviour and attitudes seemingly prevalent in society today.

We know not all young people are 'bad'. We know they don't all make a nuisance of themselves. We know they don't all have the same attitude.

But we also know how they can get tarred with the same brush. How they can feel powerless or lack confidence to stand up for themselves. How they feel pressured and even bullied into joining in with 'unacceptable behaviour' because not to would lose their status in a 'gang'.

Our powerful presentations focus the audience on the dangers and consequences, both personal and to others, caused by thoughtless anti-social behaviour such as alcohol misuse, disregard for personal safety, the dangers of starting fires, road awareness, etc. As we follow real, believable characters through their daily routine, we witness their thoughts and feelings on life.

What makes young people behave in such a way? What part does apathy play in their actions? Why can 'perception' dominate their lives? How do we get them to understand and respect themselves and others in the community? How do we get them to 'Do Something'?

All our Do Something presentations and follow-on workshops:

  • Encourage students to behave responsibly, especially towards the dangers of anti-social behaviour
  • Develop a pro-active and positive attitude behaviour amongst all students
  • Empower students to respect themselves and others in the community
  • Improve understanding of the possibly far-reaching and devastating consequences of the young people's actions
  • Help students to take control of their own lives and decisions in order to make positive changes, reach their potential and fulfil their dreams
  • Start young people thinking, talking and finding out the answers for themselves
  • Answer the question 'What is anti-social behaviour?' and looks at the fear surrounding it
  • Make young people 'Do Something' positive for themselves, their peer group and their community
