Our small, very select, team of Business Development Managers all agree they have the best 'product' in the world to sell. You will be responsible for developing relationships with an existing client portfolio and also applying your creative and innovative ideas to source new business. We need people who have a proven track record of success, ideally in consultative sales roles.

Although demanding, this highly rewarding position provides our Business Development Managers with the ability to create a worthwhile and financially secure career.

We provide you with an attractive salary plus an uncapped bonus scheme along with a company car etc.

We work nationally, and are looking for people who live all over the UK. One geographical area we are specifically looking to cover is the South West inc West Midlands, Bristol, Hereford, Worcester and ideally Wales. Full Time Creative Assistant (Education)

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated, and organised person to join our Creative Team.

Based at our HQ near Huddersfield, you will be responsible for all aspects of our Education work, you will oversee auditions for actors, cast and direct our inspiring shows, liaise with clients on scripts, workshops and evaluations, and ensure standards are being met on the road.

Skills you will bring include:

  • Directing stimulating, relevant and fast-paced drama presentations
  • Writing scripts which match and exceed our clients' needs
  • Devising and leading workshops, including knowledge of workshop techniques
  • Ability to keep up to date on education needs and any changes (i.e. curriculum, subjects, exams, progression routes, etc.)
  • Some technical knowledge of set, props, costume and/or sound
  • An understanding of safe working practice
  • Management experience

Essential are a can do attitude, a full driving licence and a confident approach to getting the most out of actors in rehearsal and on tour, as well as a real passion for the inspiring and life-changing work we do. Salary is dependent upon experience and skills.

Important Information For Prospective Candidates

Impact Universal Ltd does educational based work in schools on the theme of lifelong learning. We help our clients inspire young people to want to learn. To want to keep on learning and to see that learning is part and parcel of our lives (and not something you just do at school till you are 16!).

In a three line description - sounds dull and uninteresting. It’s not. By inspiring young people to make something of their lives, through learning, we are making a direct and dramatic difference to young people’s lives.

Our education based work takes us all over the UK. At certain times of the year we can have 30 different tours out in different parts of the country and another 10 or so in rehearsal. And the wheel keeps on turning. Another 6 groups of actors will need to be cast. Another 20 scripts will have to be written, sets built, costumes made, workshops designed and on it goes. It’s a whacky, creative, ever changing working environment.

Our corporate and training work also takes us all over the UK and even into Europe and the United States from time to time working for a very diverse mix of clients from the corporate and public sectors.

Again, the work we do on the corporate side echoes our education-based work in that we aim to make a dramatic difference to everyone’s lives who take part in our workshops.

To manage and administer the work on behalf of our clients we have three main ‘departments’. Sales, Administration and the Creative Team.

Sales liaise with the clients and bring the work in. They also liaise with internal departments to ensure we all have the information we need to play our parts in offering great customer service.

Administration, in the main, event manage all the projects on behalf of our clients and our Creative Team do everything associated with ‘getting the shows on the road’ ie scripting, devising, auditioning, casting, liaising with agents, rehearsing, set and prop making etc etc etc.
